Hi guys, I wanted to share continuing medical education course I am attending. Horizon CME is hosting a free CME January 21st in Houston, Texas which reviews discusses outpatient care of venous thromboembolism. It will focus on strategies for ensuring the safe transition of at-risk patients from the inpatient to outpatient setting, and will provide guidance for the safe and effective use of antithrombotic therapy, and will present strategies for overcoming barriers to outpatient VTE prophylaxis. Iíve attended events by this group this and found them very useful. The course is for orthopedic surgeons, hematology/oncology physicians, hospitalists, internists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, case managers, pharmacists, anticoagulation clinic staff, and anyone else involved in the management of patients at risk for VTE and is for 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
