Swine flu no more

Sept. 10, 2009: The USDA issued a statement today discouraging the use of "Swine Flu" to refer to the 2009 H1N1 flu pandemic. The term has unnecessarily damaged pork farmers in the US and abroad, prompting the USDA to ask the term no longer be used to reference the pandemic. Source: USDA statement on 2009 H1N1.
