Definition of Neuronal and Mixed Neuronal-Glial Tumor
Neuronal and Mixed Neuronal-Glial Tumors have in common a variable amount of neuronal and, less consistently, glial differentiation. They occur at a low frequency and usually carry a favorable prognosis. They include: Gangliocytoma, Ganglioglioma, Dysembryoplastic neuroepithelial Tumor, Central Neurocytoma, cerebellar liponeurocytoma and Paraganglioma. (Adapted from WHO.)
