complications of bariatric surgery

So there's been a lot of talk about the complication rate with bariatric surgeries - 40% within 180 days of the procedure (bariatric surgery complications). That's way too high.

But I haven't seen a discussion of a difference in complication rates among the procedures. Gastric banding must have a lower complication rate than bypass - where can I find the numbers on these?
