I watched "Supersize Me" last night. Relevant to this topic was the scene in which children easily recognized Ronald McDonald, but identified a picture of Jesus and G.W. Bush.

I found this article to be very interesting and not surprising. Kids associate fast food as part of their daily diet (in some cases) and become loyal to a brand.

I agree with the idea of brand loyalty. I think it is one of the reasons why people continue to eat fast food even when given the option of healthier options. Think about the longer lines at fast food restaurants at lunch time versus shorter lines at "healthier" options such as Subway.
