I agree with you that Giuilani's plan seems even more unrealistic than the other candidates. One obvious question is how can people be forced to buy private health insurance?
Think about it, people are required to buy automobile insurance in order to legally drive. But how many uninsured drivers are on the roads? Plenty!

It's amazing that only half the candidates even mention healthcare.
The last democrat debate was interesting - the disabled steel worker got the longest ovation for describing real problems in health care coverage. Why don't Romney/McCain/Giuliani treat this issue seriously?
But you're right with the private auto insurance analogy. Requiring private insurance while eliminating employer health insurance is going to jack up uninsured health care costs - and guess who carries that burden, hospitals in poor neighborhoods. Sounds like a real plan for disaster. Strong work Giuliani.
