As new and more powerful modalities are developed, the benefits to cancer patients are obvious.
But what about the cost of care? How many patients will have access to the best technology? Does better modalities increase healthcare disparities?

You make a good point but what I think will happen is 1) the cost of using the modality will decrease as its use becomes more common and 2) as its use is increased, it will be considered standard of care and be covered by not only private insurance but by medicare and medicaid.
