My mother had complications during an angioplasty, her arteries were smaller than normal and the probe cut a major artery and casued her to have a major heart attack. She was in her 50's at the time.
So I think anatomic variation has to be considered at all ages.

I would agree that anatomic variation is a factor at any age, but what are the appropriate diagnostic approaches to identify people at risk?
