I think it is interesting that a significant amount of the mortalilty is due to pre-term deaths. It indicates a lack of prenatal care of the mother.

But why the lack of pre-natal care of the mother in certain racial groups?

Is it due to lack of access to healthcare or the woman's lack of education about the importance of pre-natal care?
