Dr. Cyrus Peikari
MD 1995, University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center
BS Electrical Engineering 1991, SMU
Dr. Peikari brings expertise in both medicine and information
technology to netdoc.com. Like many of the members of the netdoc
community, Dr. Peikari has grown a two-physician internal medicine
practice, and has had to educate himself on the
business of medicine. He co-authored the HIPAA medical education course
for the Texas Medical Association, and authored a board review book
that mirrors his internal medicine board review course
(owntheboards.com). In addition to his internal medicine practice, Dr.
Peikari has co-authored five books on wireless network security, is a
founder of Airscanner, the world's leading provider of security
software for Windows Mobile
handheld devices, writes a weekly column on information security at
InformIT.com, and is a frequent lecturer on the topics of wireless
network security. Dr. Peikari lends both his advice to this community,
as well as his expertise, writing a regular netdoc column on information
technology in medicine.
