Definition of TSSC3 Protein
Encoded by human TSSC3 Gene, 152-amino acid 17 kD TSSC3 protein is expressed in fetal and adult liver, lung, and kidney, placenta, and adult pancreas. With similarity to TDAG51, essential for FAS expression and susceptibility to apoptosis, TSSC3 may be involved in susceptibility to apoptosis. Mouse Tssc3 encodes a small cytoplasmic protein with a pleckstrin-homology (PH) domain. (from Swiss-Prot, OMIM, and NCI)
