| The San Antonio Cancer Institute is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. It represents the combined cancer research programs of the Cancer Therapy and research Center and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. There are six major research programs within the Institute: Cancer Metastasis, cancer prevention and Health Promotion, dna repair and Tumor Suppressor Genes, experimental Therapeutics, geriatric Oncology, and signal transduction and Macromolecular Interactions.
